Photogravure etching using Charbonnel inks on Somerset 300 gsm Velvet archival paper then overlaid with 24 carat gold leaf.
As a child, I felt that the location of heaven was just beyond the distant clouds. With the growing years, I’ve realised it’s actually closer to home. Nothing to do with out there; but on this earth, this land, this sea, this here.
The view towards the mountainous mainland from the seas in the Inner Hebrides, Scotand.

Not a Sound

Milford Sound on the South Island of New Zealand isn’t actually a sound, it’s a geographic misnomer, as technically it’s a fjord.
Thus my title for this piece, Not a Sound.

In this case a line from a track by Talking Heads, written by David Byrne.
